Spectacular Front Doors: Broek in Waterland

The little village of Broek in Waterland is just 10 km away from Amsterdam and truly a jewel. I have been there last weekend for a stroll.  More about this village will be posted in the future. I can tease you already with some stunning front doors - old and truly in excellent shape.
Let's start with turquoise, shall we ?
Above: kitsch over the top.
 Hmmm... neoclassic.

Playful without being silly. Ownnn... too bad I cut off the doggy...

Classic, definitely.
Chic in grays and details in gold.
Indeed, très chic !
The perfection and attention to details is undescribable !

This is a warm and welcoming bordeax colour front door.
Notice the details. The patina on the horse only adds more authenticity.
Probably this house functioned in the past as a (cattle) farm ???
I love also the steps ! Below, the delicate details above the door.

More bordeaux doors, very masculine. I love this colour (and dark green) for entrance doors. My old house had dark greeens, and now in my new house it is a cerulean blue (I didn't choose it - that's the official colour for front doors in the area where my house is located.)
A feminine touch on the details, balancing the seriousness of a rather masculine door.

Talking about blue...
Definitely: a very serious and masculine door.
Another super kitsch and pretty entrance door.

Het Beroemde Huis: The Famous House.

And to finish this post, another pretty detail from a house (above) I could not find among the pics. I remember I was almost back to where the car was parked and the battery in the photo camera started beeping. It was over, hahaha!
Just in time !

I hope you could relax watching these photos. Stunnier than these entrance doors, I have never seen anywhere else. I think Broek in Waterland has a very elegant group of houses, ex-farms and pretty cottages - elegant yet relaxed and with a country feeling.
See you on the next post !
